my cousins wedding was last night and it was wonderful. it came together so beautifully, thankfully it didn’t rain and the sun even came out for a few sun set pictures.
as i said before in my last posts Alex decided that she wanted an outdoor wedding, in her guys (now husbands!) front yard. we spend all day friday and saturday setting up for it. decorating and such, i must say that i was on a ladder a little more than i would’ve wished, but i am glad that i was. everything turned out very romantic and whimsical.
here are a couple pictures of the wedding. as you can see it was very country, which i love. the lighting consisted of candles, oil lamps, hanging mason jars, and three spot lights hung from the tent. the guest book was a tree drawn by my aunt, and littered with thumbprints and guests names. the centerpieces were red oil lamps with a picture of John and Alex throughout the years, each one was different. The cake table was simple. instead of having one huge cake they decided to have 6 different ones, red velvet (so good), vanilla, chocolate and so on. In one corner of the tent was a wicker set up for gifts, it was adorable. and on the other corder was a huge metal tub filled with drinks, set on top of hail bails. so, enjoy the pictures. and appriciate all the decorations since we worked very hard on them, and most of all, be inspired.

Oh this is absolutely brilliant! I’ve been trying to find ideas for my own wedding, that is quite similar to this, that have actually turned out successfully and this sounds perfect! Especially what they did for the drinks.
